A Message from the Treasurer
By Joe Sanders
What a summer we have had, hot and no rain. Octoberfest will be almost over or over by the time you are reading this. Kids are back in school, and the leaves will be turning fabulous colour to brighten our cooler days.
The rentals, our very tasty kitchen, the bar, very generous donations in memoriam, advertising and of course our membership are our main source of income. Our bank accounts are maintaining a healthy balance.

The board of directors need your help for one day a month on a Thursday for the Oshawa Folk Arts Council. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Schenay Schank. The result volunteering means we are able to keep 50% of the passport sales for Fiesta. That is a big deal for income to your club.
A big thank you to Martin Hillebrand, Paul Gabourie, Ross Cooper and Bonnie Henderson (I hope I didn’t miss anyone) for resurrecting our gazebo. What a great upgrade it’s getting.
Enjoy the warm weather while it’s here and get ready for snow in November.
The Happy Treasurer,
Joe Sanders
